A ducted air conditioner consists of an outdoor condensing unit and an indoor evaporating unit which is generally located in the roof space or under the floor.  The air is evenly distributed throughout premises by means of a vent in every room.  This type of system can be zoned so that you have the ability to close off specific rooms and cool/heat other rooms.
